East Moment community rules
Be specific. Be honest. You can be sharp without being cruel.
East Moment is building a human record of China, not an engagement machine. We would rather publish three memorable contributions than thirty empty reactions.
What belongs here
Post the detail that changes how another person sees a city, meal, song or cultural idea. Ask a real question. Correct us with evidence. Disagree with Lijun and explain why. Share an observation that could only come from paying attention.
Strong opinions are welcome. Critique the claim, work, place or public action. Do not turn disagreement into humiliation, identity-based attack or a campaign against a person.
Real photos only
China Moments accepts photographs you took and have permission to share. AI-generated travel scenes, stock images, scraped social posts and another person's camera roll do not belong in the reader feed.
Before uploading, check faces, children, number plates, tickets, hotel details, home addresses, computer screens and anything else that can expose somebody who did not choose to participate. East Moment strips photo metadata, but metadata removal cannot fix private information visible inside the frame.
What never gets a platform
Abuse: threats, stalking, targeted harassment, hate, sexual exploitation or encouragement of violence.
Privacy harm: doxxing, private contact details, intimate material or identifying a vulnerable person without permission.
Deception: impersonation, invented visits, manipulated context, coordinated fake activity or presenting AI media as a real photograph.
Extraction: copied writing, unowned images, spam, undisclosed promotion, affiliate pitches or repetitive link drops.
Dangerous instruction: content primarily helping illegal activity, evading safety controls or causing real-world harm.
Noise: empty praise, generic travel copy and comments that exist only to provoke a reaction may be declined even when they are not abusive.
How moderation works
Every contribution is reviewed by a human before publication. East Moment does not publish placeholder activity, buy comments or invent readers. Editorial seed posts are clearly attributed to Lijun.

| Reject | Spam, copied material, promotion, harassment, fabricated experience or content with no useful human detail. |
| Remove | A published contribution creates a safety, privacy, rights or serious accuracy problem. |
Editing and context
East Moment may fix obvious formatting or ask for a clearer version. We do not secretly change the meaning of a contribution. Reader Notes require the reader to approve the exact edited wording before publication.
Corrections and appeals
Email from the address connected to your contribution. Explain what should change and why. Safety and privacy reports receive priority; disagreement with an editorial decision is reviewed once, not argued through a public pile-on.
Report a problem or request removal
Include the page URL and the exact contribution. Do not email passwords or identity documents.
