Copyright and rights requests

What to include in a request

Email us with the following information:

• Your name, contact details and relationship to the rights holder.
• A description of the copyrighted work, photograph, likeness or other protected material.
• The exact East Moment page URL and enough detail to locate the material.
• An explanation of the right affected and evidence that you own it or are authorized to act.
• A statement that the information supplied is accurate and that the request is made in good faith.

Please do not send identity documents or other sensitive personal information unless we ask for a specific item needed to verify the request.

What happens after notice

We review sufficiently detailed, credible requests and may ask for clarification. Where appropriate, we may temporarily restrict access while the matter is reviewed. After review, we may remove, replace or restore the material, correct its attribution, or document the permission that supports its use.

Requests involving exposed private information, personal safety or intimate material receive urgent attention. Attribution disagreements and incomplete ownership claims may require additional verification.

If your contribution was restricted

If East Moment contacts you because your contribution was restricted or removed, you may reply with evidence of ownership, permission, license or mistaken identification. We will consider that response before deciding whether the material should remain unavailable or be restored.

Community contributions

Members must submit only material they created or have permission to share. We may restrict contributions during a rights review. A credible notice is not automatically treated as a final finding: we consider the notice, the contributor's response, whether the material was restored and the account's history.

A documented pattern of infringement, or attempts to evade earlier restrictions, may lead to account suspension or closure. One incomplete or unsupported allegation does not by itself make a member a repeat infringer. Not a registered DMCA process

East Moment has not designated a United States DMCA agent and does not claim registration under the DMCA safe-harbour process. This page is East Moment's operational route for copyright, privacy, publicity and image-rights concerns.

Credits and corrections

Available source and license records for externally sourced images are listed in Image Credits. A credit or source link does not replace permission where permission is legally required. To request a factual correction rather than a rights review, use the contact route on our Editorial Approach page.
