Street food loses half its meaning when the portion is detached from the hour, cooking surface, queue and pavement that produced it. One visit must keep the corner and the food together.
The stall or counter inside its street, market or transit setting, with the cooking surface and service rhythm visible
Frame 2
The finished portion from that same purchase, including its wrapper, bowl, skewer or other way of being carried and eaten
What the note must add
Name the city, approximate hour, food, price and whether the queue moved by item, weight, skewer or bowl. Obtain consent before showing identifiable vendors or customers. Visible turnover cannot prove food safety, and one visit cannot establish a vendor's permanent quality, licensing or history.
Submissions remain private until East Moment reviews the rights, specificity and usefulness of the record.
Editorial founding evidence
A visible baseline, with the gaps left open
These are East Moment editorial records built from authorized or rights-cleared imagery. They are not reader submissions and do not count toward the public record total.
A food street, one cooking surface and one finished snack from separate visits
Unmatched editorial street baseline
Three open-license photographs preserve different pieces of street-food evidence: a dense Xi'an Muslim Quarter stall row, jianbing batter spreading on a Tianjin griddle and a finished Xi'an roujiamo in its paper wrapper.
Visible: a named food-street setting and several working stalls. No purchased portion is matched to this view.
Visible: batter, hand, scraper and cooking surface. Missing: the street context and finished portion from this purchase.
Visible: one carried portion. Its vendor, queue, price, hour and cooking surface are not preserved.
Still missing: The images come from different vendors, foods and visits. They cannot connect one corner to one purchased portion, recover a queue or price, show the finished jianbing, identify the roujiamo stall or establish current operating, hygiene or licensing conditions.

The Atlas in public
The first complete corner-to-portion visit is still waiting.
Approved records must connect a street setting to the portion bought there. A market panorama beside an unrelated snack may illustrate the question, but it cannot document one vendor, queue, price or service sequence.
