Reader-built field atlas

Heat to Relief Atlas

A red centerpiece cannot show whether a Chongqing meal remains pleasurable. The dish that carries the heat and the counterpoint that restores appetite must stay in the same table record.

The evidence pair

Two photographs that can be compared

Frame 1

The hot pot, noodle bowl or jianghu centerpiece carrying the meal's strongest heat, richness or aroma

Frame 2

The rice, tofu, vegetable, pickle, broth or other counterpoint from that same meal, with its table relationship visible

What the note must add

Name the dishes, place, approximate time and group size. Record which counterpoint changed the second or later bites and whether it cooled, refreshed, absorbed, sharpened or simply slowed the meal. Do not infer spice level, ingredients, health effects or companions' reactions from color alone.

Submissions remain private until East Moment reviews the rights, specificity and usefulness of the record.

Editorial founding evidence

A visible baseline, with the gaps left open

These are East Moment editorial records built from authorized or rights-cleared imagery. They are not reader submissions and do not count toward the public record total.

A forceful center and a soft counterpoint before one matched table

Unmatched editorial table baseline

Rights-cleared photographs make two parts of Chongqing eating visible: a mixed maoxuewang held in red broth and a separate bowl of soft douhua with a chile-rich condiment.

Chongqing maoxuewang with mixed ingredients in red broth
Visible: a mixed, broth-led centerpiece. Color does not prove its heat level or the diner's experience.
Soft Chongqing-style douhua with scallion and chile-rich condiment
Visible: soft tofu and a separate condiment. This is not the counterpoint from the photographed maoxuewang table.

Still missing: The dishes were photographed in different settings and do not document one meal. They cannot establish shared diners, order of arrival, relative heat, the second-hour table state or whether douhua actually changed anyone's appetite.

Approved reader records

The Atlas in public

The first complete Chongqing heat-to-relief table is still waiting.

Approved records must keep the force and its counterpoint inside one meal. Two unrelated red and pale dishes can establish a visual question, but they cannot prove balance across a table.
