Reader-built field atlas

Apparatus Control and Recovery Atlas

A peak trick shows the problem at maximum pressure. Setup, receiving and recovery show whether the act controlled the problem it created.

The evidence pair

Two photographs that can be compared

Frame 1

The complete apparatus and performer positions before the decisive action

Frame 2

The receiving, landing, transfer or recovery that resolves the same action

What the note must add

Name the act, troupe and venue when confirmed. Describe visible alignment, object path, responsibility and recovery only; a spectator record cannot certify safety systems, training conditions or risk level.

Submissions remain private until East Moment reviews the rights, specificity and usefulness of the record.

Editorial founding evidence

A visible baseline, with the gaps left open

These are East Moment editorial records built from authorized or rights-cleared imagery. They are not reader submissions and do not count toward the public record total.

Three peaks without their setup or recovery

Unmatched peak-moment baseline

Open-license photographs show three different acrobatic control problems: stacked chairs, bowls traveling toward a receiving position and several plates turning on rods.

Chinese acrobat high above a vertical stack of chairs
Visible: stacked apparatus and vertical alignment. Missing: mounting and descent.
Bowls traveling above a performer in a Chinese variety-arts act
Visible: airborne objects and receiving posture. Missing: the completed catch and reset.
Chinese acrobat keeping several plates turning on rods
Visible: simultaneous moving objects. Missing: the full maintenance cycle and exit.

Still missing: The photographs come from different acts and provide no matched before-and-after sequence. They cannot establish whether the action resolved, how apparatus was checked, what correction followed or how the performers trained.

Approved reader records

The Atlas in public

The first complete setup-to-recovery record is still open.

Approved records must preserve what happened before and after the applause instant. One spectacular peak, an instructional imitation or an unsupported safety claim cannot complete the Atlas.
