Reader-built field atlas

Xi'an Carry-to-Bowl Atlas

Xi'an food loses its structure when every dish becomes one more market snack. A portable wheat food beside a patient bowl from the same day makes the city's different eating speeds visible.

The evidence pair

Two photographs that can be compared

Frame 1

The portable item in its real wrapper, counter or street context before most of it is eaten

Frame 2

The later seated bowl or bread-and-broth meal from that same day, with its serving system and place at the table visible

What the note must add

Name the date, approximate times, neighborhoods or shop types, dishes, meat or broth information supplied by the seller and the time each meal occupied. Do not infer halal status, handmade production, antiquity, recipe or neighborhood identity from a food's appearance.

Submissions remain private until East Moment reviews the rights, specificity and usefulness of the record.

Editorial founding evidence

A visible baseline, with the gaps left open

These are East Moment editorial records built from authorized or rights-cleared imagery. They are not reader submissions and do not count toward the public record total.

A filled bread and a reduced paomo before one matched route

Unmatched editorial pace baseline

Authorized photographs show two useful Xi'an structures: a pork-filled lazhi roujiamo built for holding and a separate stir-fried paomo whose torn bread sits in a reduced preparation rather than a full soup.

Xi'an-style lazhi roujiamo showing braised pork inside baked wheat bread
Visible: the filled bread's cut structure. Missing: its wrapper, counter, hour and later seated meal.
Xi'an stir-fried paomo with torn bread held in a reduced sauce
Visible: one reduced paomo preparation. This bowl is not part of the photographed roujiamo visit.

Still missing: The dishes were photographed separately and do not preserve one eater, date, route, wrapper, shop type or elapsed time. They cannot prove that either item was eaten quickly or patiently, establish halal status or connect the portable bread to the later bowl as one deliberate day.

Approved reader records

The Atlas in public

No complete Xi'an carry-to-bowl day has cleared review yet.

The first approved record must preserve two different eating speeds inside one day. An isolated roujiamo and an unrelated paomo bowl cannot prove a route, appetite or the time each meal deserved.
